it's just reality - we have too much art and not enough wall space. since i'm not always one to be in touch with reality, this has never stopped me from wanting more! the library of congress has a great online catalogue of selected images from their collection where you can order an authentic print for about $30. i gave k an alfred stieglitz print for christmas, and i love love love this photograph by marion wolcott from the early 1900s.
